We takes pride in the health, safety and wellness of its employees, and does so by:

  • We are committed to eliminating hazards and reducing the occupational health and safety risk. We are committed to improving the wellness of our employees and contractors. Our programs and targets will be based on achieving the commitments as laid out in the Key principles.
  • All fellowers undertaking an internal audit of safety or environmental management systems are trained in the requirements and application of GioveRetto’s safety and environmental management system.
  • We are also committed to involving and listening to each other to get the best outcome. Our employees will be consulted on Health, Safety and Wellness in their areas. Our Health and Safety Committee assists in helping lead Health, Safety and Wellness improvements, and be part of the discussion at department toolbox meetings.
  • Procedures exist for identification of hazards, risk assessment, control of risks, and evaluation. Similar procedures exist for the identification of environmental aspects, the significance of their impacts, controls, and evaluation.
  • Management plans are developed from hazard/environmental impact assessment and review. Management plans give consideration to resources and technologies available, allocation of responsibilities, and timeframes for achievement of milestones.
